At IKP, we are keen to nurture local talent and make opportunities available for people to get involved in creating high-quality work which tours around the country. See below for the opportunities we’re currently making available
For our 2018 tour of The Three Musketeers, IKP are looking for people to take up two unpaid work experience placements. We are looking for:
Marketing Work Experience Placement:
We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about theatre and can work creatively to publicise the show as widely as possible. Taking significant responsibility for keeping social media activity up to date during the rehearsal weeks and monitoring the success of any marketing activity, this person will be creative, confident and able to think on their feet to develop engaging and eye-catching marketing ideas. They will be working most directly with IKP’s Managing Director.
Production Work Experience Placement:
Assisting the director, the Production Placement is a perfect opportunity for hands-on experience in the creative process of mounting a production. Noting rehearsals, monitoring changes to the script, liaising with the production team and supporting the director, the ideal candidate will be proactive and flexible, while being able to juggle a number of different tasks at the same time. They will be working most directly with the show’s director, assisting the company manager where necessary.
We are looking for candidates who are available on weekdays from Wed 25 July – Fri 10 Aug and can get to rehearsals in North Cheltenham. Applicants must be 16+. IKP’s makes the personal and mental well-being and safety of everyone in the rehearsal room its highest priority and endeavours to create an inclusive and safe environment. IKP’s Managing Director and several members of the company hold current DBS Certificates and chaperone licences.
If you would be interested in applying for either work experience placement, please email email@example.com detailing your skills and experience, what you feel you could bring to the placement, and your expected availability for the rehearsal period. Applications should be received by the 30th April 2018.
